Album History

7 songs with a stronger more defined presence than the Hypno Genesis Album of 2005. These were made from 2009- 2012. The name of the album implies a more modern and unique take on orchestra as incorporating the beauty of strings with a hip hop or house rhythm to it

History and Descriptions

"Shade of Rain"
I created this as a way to deal with the loneliness I felt from living in San Francisco. I'de never lived a city before, so it was quite the culture shock. Its sad and emotional... but it carries my strength with it. Violins, a chill beat, and good presence.

"Sunset Sonata"
I created this song just before I left Arizona for graduate school. I recall finishing this song outside during an amazing sunset. Therefore the name Sunset Sonata.  Leaving ASU....Leaving Arizona was harsh, so I was pretty down and rather nostalgic when I made it so it might carry into the song. It has a chill beat, an ethereal taste, some vocal accents, and plays with the electric guitar and violins

"Rise"
I created this song while recovering from a major depression. Its one of the earliest song of this style. Upon its completion, I was the happiest person on earth. As it symbolizes my ascent from the doldrums of depression to the fires of ambition and determination. Like a phoenix. I called it "Rise".  Has bright violins and an upbeat tempo. To me, at least, has an uplifting aura to it.

"Flight to Ignition"
This one is kind of funny. My car's engine had a major oil leak and had been stuck in a parking spot in San Francisco for weeks. I inevitably got a warning that I would have to move the incapacitated car by a certain date. Coincidentally, during this time period I was creating a song for class. The countdown to getting the car to actually start and work leaked into the songs creation. That experience is the reason it sounds the way it does. It's a very short song with "flighty" violins, orchestral accents, and a bit of tech jingles in it.

Dance with the Wind (Original)
This song was designed with less emotion in mind and more focused on capturing a specific element or feeling. In this case wind. Its energetic and rhythmic in nature. It has a rhythmic piano carrying the background, violins to carry the song in general, and electric guitars to accent it.

Black Rose
I created this song to try and cement the style of "Neo Orchestrata" down. It has a plethora of violins and electric guitar and some voice work. I like to describe the violins and the electric guitar and maybe the song in general as conversational. I wanted the song to talk to you but not invasively. Something you can just listen to.

Starlight (Original)
The earliest song of the Neo Orchestrata style. Its an emotional song with cryptic but powerful lyrics. The voice is subdued so not to overpower the piano or the violins and ruin the flow of the song. The voice is primarily an accent, but if you listen carefully to the words you'll understand the story the song is trying to tell.
